5. "Dance All Over Your Face" from Lick It Up, 1983
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR9JkTMcM1A Kiss 1983 release Lick It Up is best known for two things: the title track which is still a staple at live shows and the fact that the band appeared on the cover and subsequent tour sans makeup. While the albums writing credits indicate a pretty typical split between Simmons and Stanley the feel as a whole seems heavier on the Gene influence. Dance All Over Your Face is Simmons best track on Lick It Up with Not For The Innocent receiving consideration as well. The track is a mid-tempo rocker with a solid, memorable chorus whose lyric is Simmons response to being on the receiving end of a cheating lover, a role reversal if we believe Simmons' claims to sexual prowess. In todays so-called politically correct world this classic bit of Gene Simmons misogyny would never go over.
