Metallica - Hardwired... To Self-Destruct: Ranking Every Song From Worst To Best
11. Confusion
This one is over-familiar from the get-go, with an intro that feels pretty much torn straight from Am I Evil? to the point of sheer laziness, and on the whole it's just pretty forgettable.
It still manages some groovy moments and the lyrics are sporadically interesting (relating to battlefield PTSD), but it's basically just "there" and outstays its welcome by a minute or two.
Again, it's basically filler, but its liveliness puts it ahead of Now That We're Dead. Plus, the video is really messed up, and is honestly the main reason fans are actually likely to remember the song at all.
