18. This Is It
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_SLU3m6uCA Album: Michael Jackson's This Is It Soundtrack A few weeks after the sad death of Michael Jackson, we were to witness what was the first of what it seems is many posthumous tracks. An old demo tape was found for the track "This Is It"" which despite his tour being named the same, was not in consideration for use in the then upcoming tour which sadly we never got to see, despite the amazing film that we got to witness. Written with Paul Anka in the 80's, it was set to be a duet but never materialized remaining just a demo tape up until MJ's death. The track was released in the soundtrack for the film, with backing vocals from the Jacksons and instrumentals added to the piece. A beautiful love ballad with an amazing chorus, "This Is It"" is a well composed, enjoyable song.
17. You Rock My World
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4tpuu-Up90 Album: Invincible "You Rock My World" was the bright light in what turned out to be the very disappointing Invincible album released in 2001. With a smooth blend of pop and R&B, MJ turned back the clock producing another brilliant song reminiscing when he was at his peaks in the 80's and 90's. It gained good commercial success, as well as being nominated for a Grammy. As per usual, the song came with a pretty cool music video featuring one Marlon Brando and comedian Chris Tucker who featured in the intro. Overall, a sleek pop track with a good melody and harmonies in what was to feature in - for argument's sake - Jackson's most average album.
