9. That Vanity Fair Cover
In 2008, at the tender age of 15 she appeared on the cover the front cover of Vanity Fair. The risqué image of her was deemed controversial, her back was fully exposed and she was draped in a satin bedsheet. The image was not well received and Miley was forced to issue a statement which said she was "embarrassed" by the image shot by famous photographer, Annie Leibovitz. It seemed back then she was keen to keep up appearances with her squeaky-clean image as a role model to millions of young fans around the world. Looking back this was probably inclination that she was attempting to take her career in a more mature direction and break away from her wholesome image. Nowadays, she is unrecognisable.
