Misfits: Ranking All 7 Studio Albums From Worst To Best
5. Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood (1983)
'Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood' (also known as 'Earth A.D./Die, Die My Darling' or simply 'Earth A.D.') was the final studio album of the Misfits' initial run, released just before Glenn Danzig bowed out to form Samhain.
With this album, the Misfits decided to take a step back from the rockabilly-inspired style they got their start with and lean towards a more hardcore punk sound. And while 'Earth A.D.' isn't the best of the Danzig-era, this change of direction helped create some classic Misfits tracks. This, in turn, resulted in a rather solid studio release
Ultimately, the biggest drawback of 'Earth A.D.' is the fact that it is the Misfits' shortest studio album, with the original vinyl release clocking in at a mere fourteen minutes and the extended CD/cassette version barely breaking twenty-one.
Still, with iconic tracks like 'Devilock', 'We Bite', and 'Die, Die My Darling' (which is arguably the band's most popular song), 'Earth A.D.' endures as an energetic and influential record that served as a terrific way to bookend the Misfits' original run.
