14. Marigold
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0L5umsGiMg There has been a lot of talk over the years as to whether Marigold is really a Nirvana song, or just a Dave Grohl song, so lets be clear: if it appeared on an official Nirvana recording, it's a Nirvana song. And it did. The controversy was basically over whether or not Kurt Cobain even appeared on the track or contributed to it in any way (insinuating that Grohl and Krist Novoselic, who without question were on the track, didn't really matter). That argument was put to rest after Grohl confirmed that Cobain did in fact take part in creating the track, in comments to Rolling Stone: "I would do the high harmony, he would do the low harmony." The song had appeared on an old demo tape Grohl had put out, and was released on the Foo Fighters "Skin and Bones" live album, making it the first song released by both Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.
