Pearl Jam: 8 Best Non-Album Tracks

5. Breath

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GeZ7fd_90A This one€™s a belter. A carry over from the Ten sessions, Breath makes its appearance on the Seattle scene film €˜Singles€™ soundtrack. Back when the band wasn€™t afraid of the odd stadium anthem, the song is awash with excellent lyrics €œIf I knew where it was, I would take you there, there€™s much more than this€, a catchy melody and one of Mike McCready€™s best solo€™s from the era. Despite this, Breath wouldn€™t have fit on Ten or its successor. The band€™s first album features too much similar work, while they had moved on musically by the time Vs. came along. Breath lies exactly where it can be appreciated the most, on lists like this.

As a pretty nerdy guy, I've loved film and television since I was a wee lad. Growing up in Ireland, The Den was the show to watch with it playing Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and everything in between. I have an MA in Radio and Television Production and have written for various sites, hope you enjoy my articles/lists for What Culture!
