The song has been notoriously difficult for the band to get right. Radiohead made multiple attempts at recording the song in the '90s. Their last known effort was in 1998, when they tried to record the song for the soundtrack to the film "The Avengers." As with Follow Me Around, the recording sessions for Big Boots were captured in Meeting People is Easy, showing the band fraught with tension that the song still wasn't working. Since then, it's remained on the shelf and has barely received a mention from the band, which is a huge shame. Even in its rough, early state the song was incredibly promising. Maybe they can finally find a solution to whatever stopped them finishing this song all those years ago.
