Ranking All 7 Blink-182 Studio Albums From Worst To Best
2. California (2016)
When Tom DeLonge left Blink-182 once again, fans questioned whether or not the band would be able to carry forward in a meaningful way with their new guitarist Matt Skiba (of Alkaline Trio fame.)
As it turns out, the answer to that question was a big "yes."
Whereas the aforementioned 'Neighborhoods' felt like a clash of two styles that had a hard time cooperating, Blink-182's latest studio release, 'California', shows what happens when styles clash in the best possible way.
'California' is a testament to Blink's impeccable staying power, proving that even over twenty years later, they can still put out a great album with a terrific flow and bag themselves a number-one hit in the process, with the track 'Bored to Death' being the band's first since 2004.
Not only is 'California' killer album on its own, offering memorable tracks like 'No Future', 'Sober', and 'She's Out of Her Mind', but when you factor in the deluxe edition, which nearly doubled the record's track count, it's easily one of Blink's very best.
From the energetic instant-classic 'Parking Lot', to the melodious 'Misery', to the aggressive and experimental '6/8', the deluxe edition of 'California' elevates this already-great release into a proper masterwork.
