Coming from Blink's most consistent and thematic album to date, their eponymous fifth studio album, Always is a pastiche of the band's best ideas. Bright guitars, speedy drum fills, and some of the superbly-placed loud-quiet-loud dynamics that Blink never seems to get enough credit for. DeLonge sounds more comfortable on Always than on any other late-period Blink track, sinking into each word without trying to over-extend every syllable.
