Ranking Blink-182's Hit Singles From Worst To Best
15. Josie
Josie is Punk Rock 101: Punchy verses, super repetitive chorus, heavy drums, and a little bass guitar solo for good measure. With its vague ideas about love and oddly specific regional references ("Mexican food from Sombrero's just because" is one of the most awkward lyrics in the band's oeuvre, which is really saying something), it's clear that Josie was a song by a band with minimal ambitions beyond just wanting to play some punk rock. Getting over the fact that it's not Travis Barker behind the drum kit (which is incredibly noticeable), Josie remains important more as a historical record of how often the whole music business seems random. Who would have ever thought these guys would become music royalty? https://youtu.be/I6kfin-UeAQ
