Ranking Every Bloc Party Album From Worst To Best
4. Four (2012)
By the time Bloc Party reunited with Four in 2012, it had been nearly four years since the world had been treated to an album from the four boys.
In some ways Four is a return to your roots kind of album, seeing a return to the traditional angry drumming and angry guitar rifts that made the band so popular in the Silent Alarm days. Sadly for Four, this is no Silent Alarm...
Four's most consistent themes are those that revolve around modern society on the whole; gang culture, urban violence and class divide are all prevalent in songs like Team A, He Begins to Lie and Kettling and all bring a unique anger that had been kept under wraps in previous albums.
The Healing and Day Four provide some rest-bite from the chaos however and hidden gems like V.A.L.I.S., Truth and Octopus help to make this a nice, solid addition to the band.
