Saliva: 50 Best Songs From Their Career (So Far)

50. "After Me" - Every Six Seconds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWWyQZHMTeM Coming off at #50 is a song from Saliva's second studio album, "Every Six Seconds". With some calling it one of their most defining albums to date, holding some of their most memorable songs, the album itself holds strong messages of breaking out, revolting, and exiling yourself from all the troubles in one's life and losing things close to you, but carving a new image of yourself out in the world and becoming something recognizable. Hence the song "After Me"; although not a single, this tune is spoken from someone who has lost faith in what the world is and what they use to have, believing the world is hunting them down. Lyrically strong and using Chris D'Abaldo's (former guitarist) guitar skills to the fullest, "After Me" stands solid and secure on this list.

49. "Better Days" - Under Your Skin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1f0KnDB7YM An album that is exactly the opposite in terms of success from their sophomore album, Under Your Skin was the point in Saliva's career where ideas were running dry and talent seemed to be weakening by the album. Although lyrically tough and soft-sounding, Under Your Skin seemed to be the absolute low point in a career spanning 7 studio albums. Devoid of originality, some tracks seemed to single themselves out, one particular track entitled "Better Days". Speaking of living each day slow and at a methodical pace, Josey Scott lends his vocals as if speaking from experience. Each member's skills shines on this track, helping amplify that message of reaching for the days that matter.
