https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebtC3ORg9fU Do you want another controversial statement? Okay, good. George Harrison was just as good a songwriter as Lennon or McCartney. Okay, that may not necessarily be completely true, but if one was to make such an argument, All Things Must Pass would be the quintessential evidence needed to sway any doubters. An incredibly spiritual song that reflects on the very existence of human life, the lyrics to this one are so profound that, more than any other Beatles song, musical journalists swarm to it to analyse its meaning and content. Everybody seems to think its about the breaking up of the Beatles, you see. Outstandingly, Harrison actually wrote this one during his time with The Beatles, but it was rejected by the other three and did not find itself a place on their twelfth and final studio album Let it Be. All Things Must Pass instead made it onto an album of the same name once Harrison's solo career kicked off, and it has been soothing our collective existential crises ever since.
