The Beatles: All US Number Ones Ranked Worst To Best

4. She Loves You (1964)

2nd Number One,1964 - Written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney

Much like the word 'baby' seems to be crammed into every song we hear, the expression 'yeah!' is also a staple of pop music, to the point we barely notice it anymore. Before She Loves You, though, that sound wasn't as ubiquitous as one might think, something else The Beatles can be credited for - as if they didn't have enough accomplishments under their belt.

Out of all their number ones, She Loves You is the most infectious. It remains their best-selling single in the UK, though in America it was sandwiched between two bigger smashes, I Want to Hold Your Hand and Can't Buy Me Love.

Love songs rarely assume third-party perspectives, so She Loves You manages to be even more of a game-changer, and for all the reasons already listed plus the fact that it kills at karaoke, it is a top-tier Beatles number one.

Fun Fact: When this track was being recorded, a group of screaming girls broke into the studio and had to be chased out. The song might as well have been called, They Love Us (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah).
