The Wildhearts: 10 Tracks You Need To Call Yourself A Fan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5uWhWgw3uY1993’s Earth vs The Wildhearts was the band’s first full-length album, and was voted by Kerrang! as the best album of 1993, and in a 2006 poll from the same magazine came in at number 20 in the best rock albums of all time.
The final release was actually made up of the pre-production demos the band had recorded prior to the official sessions. After listening to them everyone agreed that they were so good there was no need to re-record them, so they were mastered and released as is.
Earth vs... even features the final recording from legendary Spiders From Mars’ guitarist Mick Ronson, who supplies one of three solos on My Baby Is A Headfuck. He was originally considered as main producer, but was too ill with the liver cancer that would take his life four months before the album came out.
Everlone is the longest song on the record, and features one of those extended outros that have become something of a signature for The Wildhearts. It’s also a huge live favourite. According to Setlist.fm only four songs have been played live more often across the band’s 26 year career. Have a listen and you can see why.
