Artist: The Clash Album: Sandanista! (CBS, Epic) Most hardcore clash fans love Sandanista! for the very same reason others dislike it; it is a confused jumble of different genres. I, however, really do enjoy this album, as it has some great tracks, and the variety gives it a White Album-esque quality. That being said, there are a few songs on this album I can barely listen to. Hitsville UK is one of them. Ok, this song celebrates the indie music scene in Britain at the time, but does it have to be so cheesy? Its bouncing, poppy beat reminds me a bit of Do they know its Christmas? Yes, some allowance must be made for it being the 80s, but when this pops up after Career Opportunities or The Magnificent Seven, I have to shake my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVKC5YE85Ks
