10 Best Comedy Duos Working Today

1. Nick Frost And Simon Pegg

For the past several years, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have collaborated on a series of comedic films, where they experiment with a variety of different genres. Shaun of the Dead is a zombie parody, Hot Fuzz is a play on the buddy cop film, and The World's End uses the alien invasion concept to strange but poignant effect. One thing remains the same throughout the entire Cornetto trilogy (thus named for the Cornetto ice cream wrappers that make an appearance in each film) and that is the gloriously humorous, bromantic relationship that exists between their two characters. If you want to split hairs, this duo is technically a trio, as Edgar Wright wrote and directed all three of those films, but as his presence on the projects was strictly behind the screen, Frost and Pegg are the ones who are the face of the creative relationship. Although the Cornetto trilogy is dead and dusted (unless they want to pull a Douglas Adams and create an increasingly inaccurately named trilogy), hopefully the two close friends will continue to work together.
