Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts joined together to create the comedy version of the traditional talk show host and bank leader dynamic. When Scott Aukerman first made the Comedy Bang Bang podcast (formerly known as Comedy Death Ray), Reggie Watts was not only a frequent guest, but he wrote and performed the theme song. Then they starred in the television version of the podcast, Comedy Bang Bang on IFC, which might not be as laugh-out-loud funny as its predecessor, but certainly showcases a totally different style of humor that actually works pretty well on TV. Unfortunately, their camaraderie is about to face some rough roads ahead: Reggie Watts was recently signed to become James Corden's band leader on The Late Late Show this year, which will see him relocate to New York City and have significantly less time for Scott, leaving the future of Comedy Bang Bang up in the air.
