10 Best Epic Rap Battles Of (Actual) History

2. George Carlin Vs. Richard Pryor (As Opening Acts)

Legendary comedians don't always play nice with one another and this would definitely be said of George Carlin and Richard Pryor, but these two are only the opening acts for the grand five-way showdown ahead. Unusually for something to rank so high on the list, the opening verse by George Carlin (played by Peter) isn't particularly inspired or memorable - even his physical appearance isn't up to the usual seamless standard for ERB. This battle is then increasingly saved with each newly introduced competitor.

Zeale's verse for Richard Pryor is notably toned down from Richard Pryor's actual delivery, but memorably brutal. Gary Anthony Williams then appears as Bill Cosby for a mercifully brief appearance that has a real life twist. Even though a detestable character in real life, his performance continues the upward trend of the video. This is especially true of Joan Rivers, whose flawless delivery in her verse would steal the entire show, if a final contender hadn't show up.

Perhaps it's just nostalgia and perhaps it's just another excellent portrayal by Lloyd, but Robin Williams' entrance is both moving and hilarious.

The only real downside to this battle is that when it's over you realise that the only character in it that's still alive in real life is Cosby. Now there's a shame.
