4. Ben Mears €“ Salem€™s Lot

Ben Mears Salems Lot After 25 years, struggling author Ben Mears returns to the town of his childhood, €˜Salem€™s Lot, where he had his happiest memories. Hoping to resuscitate his flagging career after the untimely death of his wife, he hopes that the homecoming to this small town in Maine and the potential acquisition of the nightmare Marsten house he remembers from his youth, will motivate him to write a terrific novel. Unfortunately for him, someone else has already purchased the Marsten Place. Even more unfortunate, the owner is a centuries old vampire named Barlow, set on turning the small town into a vampire colony. Ben musters what courage he has and rather than running from the situation, he faces it head on, spurred by the callous way his new love interest was used and discarded by Barlow. In a race against time, Ben faces not only his childhood fears but the wrath of the undead as he tries desperately to save not only the town, but ultimately humanity from Barlow and his minions.
