Rappers have spent the last 30 years trying to convince the world that theyre the toughest people on Earth. Surely many of them are, growing up in the hardened areas that they espouse in their music. But with a lot of these guys, we dont believe them, they need more people. Take the autobiography of Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy for instance. Every 10 or so pages of his book theres a story of a gang fight, murder, shooting, stabbing, robbery or some other act of badas** thuggery that is far too hyperbolic to be real. If half the stories in that book were true, instead of risking the lives of our armed forces we shouldve just dropped Mobb Deep into Afghanistan instead. They wouldve wrapped that sh*t up in a week. T.I. is one of those rappers who puffs his chest out and spends way too much time telling us that hes a gangsta. Were all supposed to forget the fact that he looks like someone from one of those for just the price of a cup of coffee commercials and be totally intimidated. But it isnt working. No ones scared of T.I. Its the thirty five NFL linemen looking dudes on his payroll who surround him at all times that keep challengers at bay. So the Atlanta rapper definitely deserves a little credibility for his recent attempt at stepping to boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. After a recent fight, Mayweather and his entourage were grabbing a bite at Fatburger when T.I. and his cohorts ran up on him regarding a dispute over Tiny, T.I.s on-again off-again love interest. Tiny attended the Mayweather fight and T.I. was offended, so he decided to step to the pugilist and make his feelings known. A riot broke out between the two camps and details have been scarce, with neither side willing to delve too deep into the incident. Youve got to give the dude some credit. No one on the planet thinks he would have a chance against Mayweather in a physical confrontation, but when it came to his woman, T.I. searched his entire little 120 pound body and found that he had zero f*cks left to give. While were on the subject of Floyd Mayweather
