2. Tommy Lee Jones & Al Gore Yes, Kay from Men In Black and the man who almost gave us flying cars have been BFFs since university. Tommy, the son of a police officer and oil field worker, went to Harvard on a need-based scholarship where his roomie was Al Gore; Tommy was an offensive lineman on the football team - Al, the son of Senator Albert Gore Senior, switched from an English major to government. The pair not only boozed and floozed together, they joined a country and western band to impress the ladies. Al Gore insists Erich Segal (a fellow Harvard student) based Love Story on his relationship with future bride Tipper, although she is very much alive and has not fallen prey to a glamorous literary illness. Mr. Jones has gone on to a successful career in film, winning an Oscar in 1994 for his role in The Fugitive, and while Al was robbed of the presidency, they still remain close friends.
