10 Craziest Things We Learned From Alex Jones And Tim Dillon On The Joe Rogan Experience
8. His Opinion On Climate Change
During this "Carbon Conspiracy" portion of the pod, Jones' opinion on climate change also came to light, with the guest stating that he felt the climate was indeed changing and that "the only thing that's constant is change".
Rogan also asked his guest whether he agreed that man-made CO2 emissions were the one thing they could control? And before he could finish his point on what he thought could happen if more global warming gasses were pumped into the atmosphere, typically Jones interrupted with his own jaw-dropping theory on what this would mean for the planet.
Jones declared that "studies show" this increased CO2 in the atmosphere will make deserts green again, and plants are going to absorb the carbon. Rogan then quizzed him on what studies these were exactly, to which Jones replied by telling him to "look them up". Which can also be translated to, "I didn't think this far ahead and have no concrete information to back this audacious point up". It also was revealed (as we noted earlier) that one of these studies was done in the 60's when we didn't have anywhere near as much data available to us on global warming as we do now.
If this wasn't enough, Jones then went on to proclaim that by putting ancient carbon (oil) back into the atmosphere we were "terraforming the planet back to an earlier healthier state". Suuuuure we are.
You can bet Rogan now regrets booking this barmy appearance during his Stoptober month...
