Fanfic Of: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Plot: The villain Lord Zedd discovers torture manuals for the KGB, CIA, and so on which merge into a sentient being named Tortura. They then kidnap the Pink Ranger and at length graphically torture her to death. Commentary: Way back in 2000, Agony in Pink managed to achieve media mainstream attention by being reviewed by the Australian Broadcasting Authority and subsequently causing the site to be banned on that continent. It also is the most unsettling entry on this list because since it was written in 1995 it predates the idea of intentionally bad stories or a troll fics (like the aforementioned Cupcakes) as a popular internet concept by some years. The author The Dark Ranger was sufficiently pleased with the attention his story received that he released a Special Edition of the story where he fixed the grammatical and spelling errors, included illustrations, and added commentary. One of the most notable things about that edition is that Dark Ranger bothered to tell readers that the story was about the Pink Ranger being tortured to death, not the actress Amy Jo Johnson who played her. He claimed to be disturbed that some readers did not make that distinction. Which just goes to show, even people with torture/murder fetishes can be disturbed by some stuff on the net.
