9. The Queen's Haunted Staircase
According to a warder of Hampton Court Palace, The Queen’s staircase has been renowned for frequent moments of unexplainable paranormal activity.
On one occasion, during an evening ghost tour operated by the palace in the winter season, a tour guide rested his hand on the banister to describe the history of the queen’s staircase to the group. Afterwards, one member pointed out that they spotted another hand on the banister behind him.
In another instance, a lady who was a professional medium claimed to have seen a white, cloudy figure behind that very same tour guide on the same staircase. Some believe the mysterious figure is Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII.
