10 Creepiest Hauntings At Hampton Court Palace
8. An Experiment With The Unknown
As Hampton Court had tallied up so many cases of hauntings and ghost sightings (we’ll get to the more famous cases later), it was beginning to draw the attention of paranormal investigators.
In 2000, Richard Wiseman decided to test the building for supernatural activity. Wiseman gathered several volunteers and divided them between believers and non-believers of ghostlike phenomena. Before the experiment commenced, the people were not told of any previous stories linked to the palace but were simply instructed to record any unusual sightings or senses when exploring the building.
To no one’s surprise, it was mostly only the group of believers who had strange experiences they couldn’t describe. Some considered this experiment a fail because it was thought the palace had a placebo affect on those who already experienced supernatural activity. But it still doesn’t explain all the cases of odd ghostly phenomena surrounding Hampton Court Palace.
