Year: 1976 Country: United States While not technically an abduction case, Dr. Herbert Hopkins did find himself on the receiving end of a very peculiar visit. Hopkins, a doctor and hypnotist, was hired as a consultant for a supposed UFO teleportation case in Maine. One evening, while alone in the house, Hopkins received a call from a man claiming to be from the New Jersey UFO Research Organisation. After a short conversation, they agreed that the man could come to Hopkins' house that evening to discuss some details related to the case. After putting the phone down, Hopkins went outside to turn on a light so that the house would be easier to find. No sooner had he stepped out the door, he noticed a man already climbing the steps to his porch. The man was dressed in a black suit and hat, with a white shirt. After removing his hat, he was revealed as being completely bald, with no hair, eyelashes or eyebrows. Eerily, the man's skin was almost completely white, and Hopkins noticed at one point that his lips were smeared with lipstick. The man in black discussed the UFO case, but also performed a strange demonstration, causing a coin to disappear in front of Hopkins' eyes before stating, "neither you, nor anyone else on this planet will ever see that coin again". After continuing discussion, Hopkins realised that the man's speech was noticeably slowing, until the visitor walked out of the house towards a bright light on the driveway. Hopkins was absolutely terrified by the encounter, and only in retrospect did he realise the extent of just how peculiar it had been. Per the visitor's request, Hopkins erased all of the tapes from the hypnotic sessions, and withdrew from the case. He also later discovered that there isn't, and never has been, an instituation named the New Jersey UFO Research Organization.
