The Magic Kingdom in Florida might be a swarm of human life by day, but the park continues to teem with life long after the final customer has walked out of the gates. If you ever find yourself locked into the park at night, you might just find yourself being watched by hundreds of glowing eyes from the bushes. The cats first showed up when the park opened back in 1955, and were initially considered something of a problem. However, park officials soon realised that the cats were great for lessening to local mouse population. Today, the cats are encouraged with five purpose-built feeding stations, though they are rarely spotted during the day. The cats are by no means pets though, and are encouraged by Disney employees to remain feral and unfriendly to humans.
