10 Deeply Disturbing Disneyland Urban Legends

1. Walt's Ghost

Walt Disney himself is the subject of several enduring urban legends and myths - like the suggestion that he froze his head in the hope of one day being reanimated - and unsurprisingly, he is also said to be the most illustrious ghost at Disneyland. Walt is said to haunt a number of locations, including his old apartment above the firehouse on Main Street, where lights can be seen going on and off.

Presumably, the animation mogul is still attempted to get the attention of Kurt Russell, whose name were the final words he scrawled before his death for reasons known only to the man himself. Somewhat creepily, when Walt was in residence at the park, he would light a lamp in the window to let everyone know, and after a cleaning woman apparently witnessed the lamp turn itself on after his death, it has been symbolically left on ever since as a mark of respect.

Employees have reported hearing footsteps around the park, and knocking coming from the apartment, particularly at night, and the Mickey Mouse creator's ghost is also supposed to have been spotted in The Disney Gallery, and the stockrooms above the New Orleans Square shops, which he haunts with his wife and a woman named Mary. Even as a ghost, he clearly works hard.

Is There Any Truth In It? Stranger things have happened...
