Is there anything better than pizza? The answer's no. There's nothing better than pizza. Your standard 12" pie might make your mouth water but imagine the joy that would come from being served with the largest pizza ever made. Made in Rome in 2012, the behemoth pie, which also happens to be the world's biggest gluten free pizza, was the brainchild of Dovilio Nardi and was made at an event organised by Dr Schar, an Italian company which produces gluten free foods. Five chefs spent two whole days cooking the dough in more than 5,000 batches using nearly 5 tonnes of tomato sauce and almost 4 tonnes of mozzarella cheese. All in all the giant monstrosity weighed in at 24 tonnes and comfortably beat the previous record held by a South African hypermarket since 1990. The original record measured 122 feet in diameter but the Roman record breaker came in at 131 feet. Get the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We've got work to do.
