10 Everyday Things You've Been Doing All Wrong

8. Peeling A Banana

Watch any nature documentary on the telly starring monkeys and you're likely to see one munching on a nearby banana. Those apes sure love that skinned fruit, don't they? The question is: how do they go about peeling it without mushing the end and leaving a nasty mess all over their hands? Aren't we supposed to be the evolved species here?

The next time you end up with banana all over your desk at work, consider the monkey's skillful removal of fruit from sleeve. You see, they do it from the bottom up. If anyone at the local zoo has ever eaten a banana in front of the monkey exhibit, those primates must have wondered if their peeling skills (or lack thereof) were some kind of sick joke.

They're not, it's just human beings sucking at something. Peeling a banana from the bottom instead of the top will ensure that you have a mush-free snack experience.
