Before continuing with this entry, it's important to note that alcohol should be consumed in moderation. By 'moderation', we do not mean '17 pints a day'. If that's your kind of thing though, at least take some time to consider why that beer bottle is shaped the way it is next time you swig.

There's a reason beer bottles have long necks, and it has escaped us until now. Apparently, some thought went into this. The bottle has a long neck because that's where you're supposed to hold it instead of at the base, and it means your precious booze won't heat up in your hand too. Genius.

The only people we've seen holding a bottle by the neck are either extremely posh types or far too hammered to know better in clubs. Laugh at these folks at your own peril however, because they're the ones doing it right and don't suffer from drinking beer that feels like someone tried heating it up in the microwave.
