9. Ice Runway - Antarctica

Ice Runaway
wikipedia

Built primarily for use by the US Antarctic Program, this runway is located near the McMurdo Station in Antartica and is literally on ice.

Each year the runway is constructed for use seasonally, with the runway closing each year when the ice begins to break up.

As planes land they sink into the ice and are forced to be moved quickly to prevent them from being submerged.
