President Bush Sr. was reported to have passed away by WBAP radio in America due to a false anonymous tip. Unfortunately at the time, Bush was confined to intensive care at a local hospital. If that were not enough, Der Spiegel (a popular German magazine) accidentally published a draft obituary that they had prepared for Bush on the 30th of December 2012. It was not the first time Bush Sr. had suffered the slings and arrows of premature death, as CNN (again) managed to report his death whilst he was still President due to another false tip. George W. Bush Jr. did not escape the ignomy that his father had suffered, as he was reported dead by a South African television station as they ran a TV banner that read 'George Bush is dead.' Apparently, the phrase was used as a test regularly for the station, and the technician who was testing the banner accidentally sent the feed live directly to the televisions of millions of viewers.
