10 Greatest Comedy Duos Of All Time

4. Key & Peele

Laurel And Hardy
Warner Bros.

Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele began working together almost by accident. Both men showed up to an audition to join the 9th season cast of MADtv in 2003, but the producers were only interested in hiring one black cast member for the season. After meeting with both men, they decided to hire them both on the spot.

Their on-screen chemistry was immediately apparent and from that casting, they developed a partnership that continues to this day. On screen, these guys can play anything from bitter enemies to the best of friends, but in life, they are truly the latter.

They launched their own sketch comedy series on Comedy Central called Key & Peele back in 2012. The series would continue for 53 episodes until it came to an end in 2015.

While their comedy partnership appears to have come to an end, the two remain good friends. Peele left acting after he was offered the role of "poop" in The Emoji Movie and went on to become an Academy Award nominated director. Key transitioned to Broadway and continues to star in major motion pictures and television series with no appearance of slowing his career down anytime soon.
