10. We Are Interested In Your CV!

These job offer scam emails are among the nastiest out there. Preying on the desperate and needy, these emails purport to offer a job to the recipient after magically coming across their CV online. Naturally, the jobs offer an unrealistically high salary for minimum work from home. From there, the scam go in a few different ways. Occasionally, it's a simple scam attempting to get your bank details. In more extreme examples, the email actually is offering you a job: becoming the scammer's very own money launderer. The recipient gets told that they need to accept client payments into their bank account, which they can deduct a small percentage from. The remainder is then sent directly to the scammers using a money wire service. That way, any legal trouble will go directly to you, while the scammers go scot-free. Example:
Good day! We considered your CV to be very attractive and we thought the vacant position in our company could be interesting for you. Our firm specializes in consultation services in the matter of book-keeping and business administration. We cooperate with different countries and currently we have many clients in Australia. Due to this fact, we need to increase the number of our destination representatives' regular staff. In their duties will be included the document and payment control of our clients. Part-time and full-time employment are both currently important. We offer a flat wage from $500 up to $3500 per month.
