10 Infamously Chilling Deaths And Disappearences

20-year-old Arnold Archembeau, his 19-year-old girlfriend Ruby Bruguier, and Ruby’s 17-year-old cousin, Tracy, were driving on a remote road in South Dakota in the early morning of December 12, 1992. All three had been drinking and the road was icy, causing the car to skid out of control and crash upside-down in a ditch. 17-year-old Tracy, seated in the backseat, recounted that when she looked up, Arnold was no longer in the car. 

She then apparently watched her cousin, Ruby, slip out of the door and abandon her. Police were unable to find any clue as to where the couple may have gone.

Things got stranger when a few months later two bodies were found in the same ditch, just 75 feet from the site of the crash. The bodies were identified as Arnold Archembeau and Ruby Bruguier, both missing some clothing and both in very different stages of decomposition. The police claimed that after the accident the area had been very thoroughly searched and it was impossible for them to have missed the bodies. 

They also found tufts of Ruby’s hair along the road that could not have remained in place for three months as well as mysterious keys in Arnolds pocket.

Adding to the mystery, a friend claimed to have seen Arnold at a party just a few weeks after the crash.
