10 Joe Rogan Experience Guests That Didn't Live Up To Expectations

9. Joey Diaz & Tom Segura #1000

Sometimes the weight of expectations is what can lead to disappointment.

Unlike the other episodes on this list, #1000 with Joey Diaz and Tom Segura is unquestionably a hilarious conversation featuring two of the best comics in Joe's circle that contains all the hallmarks of a classic podcast. Over 15 minutes of Diaz riffing about defecation, nostalgic reminiscing about the early days of the JRE, and fight talk aplenty.

What made the podcast disappointing in the eyes of some of the newer fans of the JRE was simply the episode number attached to it. When Rogan announced that the 1000th episode would consist of him talking with two of his oldest friends in the comedy business some fans were disappointed that he didn't bring on a high profile guest to celebrate the occasion.

However, those who watched anyway and hadn't previously seen Diaz and Segura in action were in for a real treat. Don't get me wrong, Rogan interviewing high-profile guests can be hugely insightful, but the podcast is often at its best when he's completely relaxed and just having fun with his friends.
