10 Joe Rogan Experience Guests That Didn't Live Up To Expectations

8. Carlos Condit & Erwan Le Corre #749

Carlos Condit is one of the most accomplished fighters in the history of the UFC's welterweight division and an all-round interesting guy.

So when he appeared on the JRE just weeks after his defeat in a razor-thin decision against Robbie Lawler with the UFC Welterweight Championship on the line it seemed like the perfect time to get the Natural Born Killer on the podcast to discuss his career.

The problem with the episode was that Condit didn't come alone...

During this period, Conor McGregor's success and association with yoga teacher Ido Portal had led to a trend of MMA fighters hiring movement coaches in order to help them be more creative in their fighting. This may seem a little wacky but in a sport where millimetres can be the difference between glory and failure, you can't blame fighters for looking for any advantage they can get in the cage.

To be fair Le Corre's contributions didn't exactly derail the podcast but they mean that Condit had less time to discuss his fascinating career.

A particular highlight of the episode came when Joe did his best to hide his laughter after he asked Le Corre what his qualifications were to be a movement coach to which Le Corre replied that he trained in the woods a lot when he was a kid, climbing trees and jumping from rock to rock. The fact that the podcast continued normally after this comment is a testament to Joe's professionalism and immense respect for Condit.
