10 Joe Rogan Podcasts With The Most Thumbs Up

3. #887 - James Hetfield

It's really no surprise that a podcast featuring the lead vocalist of one of the most legendary metal bands of all time is an episode with a high approval rating amongst the JRE audience.

So when James Hetfield appeared on the show in 2016 to promote the release of Metallica's tenth album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, fans were clearly happy with nearly two hours of discussion covering a variety of topics.

One of the most surprising aspects of the conversation comes when Hetfield explains his love of beekeeping, which, surprisingly as it might be for an international rock star, is clearly something he is really passionate about, and Joe is more than happy to give him the platform to explain his hobby in detail.

You can often tell that guests who are as famous as Hetfield enjoy coming on the JRE as it provides them with the avenue to talk about whatever they want to, rather than being constrained by the often-formulaic questions about upcoming albums in a traditional interview format.
