10 Lessons Microsoft Need To Learn From Sony

3. Controller Design

This is an important point. Aesthetically, the Xbox controller is better designed. The thumbsticks do not collide with each other when the player uses it; they should not change this. What they absolutely should change is the fact that you can not re-charge your Xbox controller. I'm sure this will be addressed in the next-gen console (it has to be) because some gamers have spent hundreds of dollars on buying new 'AA' batteries to charge their controller. In my experience, a single charge can last the Xbox controller a good 20 to 30 hours of play time before the batteries die out. Sony was on the right track when they designed their controllers to be rechargable.
