10 Life Lessons You Should Learn From The Joker

8. Being Prepared Doesn't Necessarily Mean Having A Plan

As the Joker has shown time and time again, victory loves preparation. Being lucky will only get you so far in life €“ you need to prepare in order to thrive and be successful. Though, being prepared doesn't necessarily mean having a plan. Just look at the Joker, does he look like a guy with a plan? Indeed, plans are important, but life doesn't always go as planned. In The Dark Knight for instance; some of the Joker's "plans" were pulled off so perfectly due to the fact that he knows when and how to improvise. He knows how to adapt to any situation. In order to adapt quickly to a constantly changing environment, you need to prepare for the unknown and the unknowable. It€™s impossible to prepare for every single scenario, but you must be prepared for anything. Part of being prepared is having the ability to think outside-of-the-box and be super flexible in any and all environments. Do you think the Joker is so brilliant that he can guess Batman's every move? Nope, but that doesn't stop him from always seemingly being a step ahead of The Caped Crusader.
