5. David Letterman - Had Sex With Female Employees

The most recent scandal on the list, coming to surface in October 2009. Letterman announced on his show that he had been blackmailed by a person that knew about a variety of love affairs he had had with female employees. It's telling that almost instantly he was seen in a sympathetic light and it was business as usual - beloved as he is by the American public. The blackmailer turned out to be a producer on the show 48 Hours, Joe Halderman, who had been living with Letterman's personal assistant and bit on the side. He was caught in a police sting with the help of Letterman - who wrote him a cheque they traced. The producer served six months in jail for attempted grand larceny. You don't mess with late night royalty. Maybe try it with Leno - no one under the age of 70 likes him. But Letterman has been hosting his chat show for 32 awesome years.
