Put your jokes about how much Pedigree Chum that mutt would go through in a day aside, because the internet claimed it was Hercules, the world's biggest dog. The image of a happy couple, a horse and a massive canine began doing the rounds online in 2007, and it was further backed up by several other images of this happy family.

The Boston Herald even ran a story on the dog back then using the description of another. That one, also called Hercules (imagine that), was owned by power lifter John Flynn, was said to weigh more than 200lbs and had "paws the size of softballs". Coincidentally, so did Flynn's English mastiff.

We'll say this. If the original image was photoshopped, it was done very well. There's no stretching, and neither the human beings or horse look abnormally sized. If it wasn't for the gigantic mutt to the right, this would look like a normal photograph.
