Everyone who's tried out an HTC Vive has been profoundly affected by it in some way. Some have come away from it in tears, some say they found the experience a bit too real, while others still have expressed a desire to return as soon as possible to the whole new world of gaming that the VR headset presented them with. The feedback from the HTC Vive recalls the early days of cinema, when people watching a Lumiere film of a train arriving at a station were so immersed by the new visual experience that they jumped out of their seats and ran in fear for the exit. The headset is being developed in conjunction with Valve and SteamVR, which is great news because that should make it easy for developers to update their games to VR versions and have them ready to play on Steam. An integrated 'VR' feature in Steam will also encourage more developers to create games specifically for the Vive. The official SteamVR page says that the headset should be available "this year".
