2. Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez

In November 2011, the White House was subject to nine shots fired from an assault rifle manned by Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez - an unemployed American citizen who claimed to be Jesus Christ, sent to Earth to kill the "antichrist", who he believed was US President Barack Obama. Friends and family explained afterwards that, for weeks before the attempted attack, Ortega-Hernandez had become obsessed with Obama, stating the US President was "controlling citizens" and "had to be stopped" - even claiming that the government was intending to put GPS tracking devices into children. As well as claiming that the world was about to end, Ortega-Hernandez sent a video to talk-show host Oprah Winfrey stating that he was Jesus Christ. Writings by Ortega-Hernandez, as well as conversations he had with friends, highlight his beliefs that Obama was the Devil and that the US President had to be stopped by Jesus (i.e. himself). He is currently serving 25 years imprisonment.
