The inclusion of this episode on this list is something of a strange one because it is possible that a large amount of the negative reception is actually more to do with Joe than his guest.
That is because at the start of the podcast Rogan explains that he has signed a historic deal with Spotify that will eventually see the JRE be exclusively hosted on the world's largest music streaming platform.
As you can imagine, YouTube users are probably not best pleased that one of the most beloved podcasts in the world will no longer be available on the site, no doubt leading to a large number of dislikes.
However, it should also be noted that while much of the negative reaction is in relation to the Spotify deal, Oswalt isn't completely absolved from criticism in the comment section. Discussion of the current state of American politics is always going to be a divisive issue and this episode is full of it, with many commentators expressing their distaste for Oswalt's views on the current President.
