10 Most Emotional Joe Rogan Experience Moments

4. Nick Yarris' Stunning Prison Story

Of all the stories told on the JRE, Nick Yarris' might just be the craziest.

After a traumatic upbringing, Yarris was incarcerated for stealing a car while addicted to drugs. After initially being imprisoned Yarris' life plunged downward in a series of unfortunate events that led him to be locked up for over twenty years for a murder that he did not commit.

When he appeared on the JRE in 2018 Yarris detailed some of the horrific events he endured during his time in prison, and how despite his hardships, he somehow managed to maintain a degree of hope that his innocence would ultimately be proven and that he would eventually be released.

This is one of the few episodes of the JRE that can almost become hard to listen to as Yarris recounts the abuse he has suffered throughout his life, but equally, it is essential viewing as evidence of how someone can endure almost unimaginable trauma and still go on to enjoy a seemingly normal life in spite of it.

The fact that Yarris is able to talk about the life he has led without succumbing to emotion is remarkable, and it is impossible not to emphasise with him while listening to the episode.
