10 Most Expensive Mobile Phones In The World

9. Lamborghini 88 Tauri - $6,000

Lamborghini make great cars, or so I'm told by my friends who actually see cars as something more than a very convenient way to get from A to B. Apparently, their reputation in this area also means that they can branch out into other areas like smartphones and watches, and slap huge price tags on devices even if they're not all that impressive. The 88 Tauri features a 5-inch Full HD screen, 20MP camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset. But at this price point you stopped paying for specs around $5,500 ago. The real value lies in the design, which is made of steel and calfskin leather. Oh, and let's not forget that it also features a bespoke ringtone collection created by none other than DJ Ravin (now nod your head in impressed fashion as if you've heard of him before). While the price of the 88 Tauri isn't in the stratospheric realm of absurdity as what's coming up later, it doesn't feel like Lamborghini dedicated its best in-house design geniuses to this phone, and was seemingly content to design a fairly generic device that's valuable only by merit of its brand. Lamborghini could take a few pointers from the next phone on this list...
